Forestry mulching is a mechanical clearing method where specialized equipment shreds trees, brush, invasive, and undesirable vegetation into chips and deposits them directly onto the soil surface.
This process is used to clear underbrush without the need for burning, debris hauling, or heavy soil disturbance. No two properties are the same, some clients want all the underbrush removed; others just need a small area cleaned up; we make a plan for your property and end goals.
The Process:

Initial Clearing - The operator works section by section, preserving desirable vegetation and grinding undesirable trees and brush into mulch to achieve the desired outcome.

What is the difference between Clearing and Forestry Mulching?

Clearing is the complete removal of all vegetation, trees, stumps, and root systems down into the sub-soil.

Clearing is a more invasive process but can be the better choice if you are looking for total site leveling, resetting your land completely, planning to strip and re-seed, or building a foundation.

Forestry Mulching is a less-invasive method, selectively preserving mature canopy trees and removing unwanted or invasive brush, shrubs, and small trees at the surface level, without stripping the land to bare soil.

The underbrush is mulched into small pieces that remain on the property, these small pieces of nutrient-rich organic material help keep moisture in the soil and will breakdown over time to improves soil health.

FIRE BREAK
Fire Break
Fire break is a cleared strip of land 10 to 30 feet wide on each side of a structure, fence line, or boundary that removes flammable vegetation to create a buffer. These barriers interrupt the fire’s path and give firefighters or property owners a chance to respond.
A Fire Break is NOT a guarantee; fire breaks slow the spread of fire and give emergency responders a much better chance at protecting your property.
